ArmaLite
ArmaLite, the name synonymous with the original 5.56 AR-15 and 7.62 AR-10 rifle, was founded in the early 1950s, and once associated with the Fairchild Engine and Airplane Corporation. ArmaLite was responsible for small arm designs that evolved into many of the infantry weapons in service worldwide today, including the M16 assault rifles and the M4 carbine.
After passing through a series of owners, the ArmaLite brand name and rampant lion logo was sold in 1996 to Mark Westrom, a former U.S. Army Ordnance officer and inventor of a 7.62 NATO sniper rifle based on the design concepts of Eugene Stoner. The company resumed business as ArmaLite Inc.
Today, ArmaLite Inc. produces a number of AR-15 and AR-10 based rifles, as well as .50 BMG rifles (the AR-50), AR-30 rifle and the AR-24 handgun. They were also the manufacturer of the widely popular AR-180B, which has since been discontinued.
Currently available for special order is the AR-30 bolt action rifle in your choice of .308 Win., .300 WM, and .338 LM. This is an affordable .338 platform which has demonstrated extremely good accuracy.

ArmaLite can supply complete M-15 rifles and carbines in many different configurations along with parts and accessories.
